Family owned and operated is the true definition of Arrow Floor Covering. In 1968, Ed Strickler opened the doors of a family run floor covering business with both sons working as installers, and his wife, daughter, and daughter-in-law working in the office. He understood what it meant to have great help. Ed & his wife Josephine retired in March of 1989, with their son Ron and his wife Karen taking over the operation of the business. Although, years have passed and products have changed Arrow’s building blocks remain the same. Ron began working with his father in 1968, by sweeping the side walks and doing general maintenance while still attending Turlock High School. He moved to full time status in 1971 and completed journeyman level achievement in installation by 1973. For the next 10 years, Ron worked diligently in installation, including such surfaces as vinyl, hardwood, and other related products. Ron’s transition from installing to sales began after it was time for him to fill the position his father would later leave. Now days, you can find Ron managing things at Arrow, as well as his daughter Lauren who is third generation along with her husband Travis. Although there are no plans of Ron retiring in the near future, the family delights in sharing the work load together. Arrow’s passion for old fashioned values and cutting edge technology has also been a priority. Customers benefit from numerous payment options, including in house credit options.
